This Sunday, our Sunday schoolers will visit the garden to lend a hand in planting okra. This summer staple loves heat and produces so much food. Picking the pods is not exactly fun but the results are so rewarding. To prepare for the youngsters, we are trying to clean up the garden and shed area. Weed eating and mowing are going on. We have a couple of new community volunteers who are stepping right in to help prepare for the kids. There is a lot of work out there and we always need help. If you have a spare Saturday or two, you should find us there starting about 8:30 am. We are trying to avoid the heat of the day. If you can help, it would be wise to contact Judy Walden so she can be sure to help you get started – firstname.lastname@example.org.
