How You Can Help Harvey Victims!

Dear Plymouth Church Family: Many of you are looking for ways to “SHOW UP” for our community after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. We have compiled a list of ways that you can do just that. We encourage you to check the websites/links/social media pages of these organizations for changes that are being made frequently.

The national UCC website has posted  a link for volunteers to sign up to help in the disaster recovery in Texas and Louisiana.  You can access the information here

Orphan Care Solutions of Texas is in need of volunteers to help foster children and volunteers to assist in recovery.  You can find more information here

As a result of Hurricane Harvey’s devastating rains, Christ United Church of Christ in Cypress, Texas sustained major flood damage again.  The 2016 Tax Day Flood devastated their iconic building.  They had just reached the point of being able to return to their building on Sunday, August 27, 2017 when the rains of Hurricane Harvey struck and on that day the floodwaters breached their doors once again. They have set up a GoFundMe page to assist in their recovery and you can find that, here .

If you have a specific Harvey related need, please let us know by emailing Melanie in the church office at melaniec@plymouthunited.org.
