Tween time is for students in the fifth through eighth grades. We meet at 9:00 in the Youth Room. Students are dismissed in time to join their families for the 10:00 worship service.
Our scripture this week is Mark 8:31-38. Just prior to our reading today, Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” And they offer the various responses that they have heard from others. “But who do YOU say that I am?” asks Jesus. Who are you following? Today, Jesus once again teaches those around him who he is, therefore, what is ahead for the Son of God and what that means for the followers of Jesus.
As we prepare for Good Friday and Easter, we spend Lent learning how to do the work God has given us to do. What are you removing from your life for this period of 40 days (not counting Sundays) or have you taken on a practice that will help you draw nearer to God or in a direction that God is leading you?
Our game this week will be Love Struck 4 Corners. We’ll see how many people are still in the game by the end!
I’ll look for you Sunday!
