The music director takes the worship themes from Rev. Ginny and incorporates music as a reflection of the theme, so the worship at Plymouth is interconnected through scripture, prayers, sermons and music. The adult choir practices every Wednesday night from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. during the spring, winter and fall months. The choir rehearses again at 9:15 a.m. prior to the worship service. The Plymouth Choir has sung music ranging from an adaptation of the "Hallelujah Chorus" for Easter, to "Jesus Isn't Done With Me Yet" (a spiritual song), to contemporary praise music, to traditional hymns. Plymouth intentionally offers diverse music in each worship service to represent the various musical preferences of the Plymouth community. Rather than separating worship services into traditional and contemporary, we seek to blend the many expressions of music into our one worship service. |
