Tween Time is for students in the 5th through 8th grades. We meet in the Youth Room at 9:00 Sunday mornings. Students are dismissed in time to join their families for the worship service at 10:00. This Sunday we begin the season of Advent, which marks the start of a new liturgical year for the Church. The readings for Sunday Mass are arranged on a three-year cycle. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
This week our game will be a Four Corners version of Ridiculous Christmas Traditions. Let’s see how long you last in this game! Since we are starting Advent, this week we will see how much of the Christmas story you remember from years past. I’ll give you some props and you’ll try to put the items in order as they relate to the Bible stories told in Matthew and Luke about the birth of Jesus as well as the events just before and after Jesus’ birth.
AND . . . there will be a lock in December 29th. Students will arrive at 7:30 PM. There will be pizza for dinner. We’ll have an escape room game as well as crafts and a Christmas movie. Parents will pick up their Tweens at 9:00 AM Saturday morning after their breakfast. Parents, watch your email for permission slips. RSVP’s, yes and regrets, will need to be sent to Pam Bryson by December 15th due to Christmas season activities.
