Worship Time
We have our worship service every Sunday at 10:00 am. For more information about what to expect on a Sunday morning at Plymouth, please check out our Visitors page.
Worship Style
Our worship is a blend of both traditional and contemporary influences and elements. This extends to our music selections, as well. Rather than separating worship services into traditional and contemporary, we seek to blend the many expressions of music into our one worship service.
Four Voices
Our worship seeks to incorporate each of the four voices of Plymouth United Church:
Progressive Theology
As Jesus opened his understanding of God in thought and experience, so do we!
Contemplative Spirituality
As Jesus set aside time to be still and listen for God, so do we!
LGBT Acceptance
As Jesus accepted those who were shunned in his society, so do we!
Social Justice
As Jesus spoke against his culture’s domination system and advocated for the equality of all, so do we!
Sacraments
We celebrate two sacraments at Plymouth United Church: baptism and communion. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month. Our communion celebration is an open table; all people are invited to join in communion as God’s children.
We also celebrate baptism of infants, children, and adults. If you have already been baptized in another church of any denomination, Plymouth United Church recognizes your baptism.
